John Champe High School had their prom dance on Saturday, April 13th. Many students choose to go the Lincoln Memorial in Washington D.C. to take their pictures every year, yet when students arrived this year, there was construction all over the Lincoln Memorial. This construction blocked most places where students typically take their photos, leaving them to scramble to find a good place to get pictures. With the strong winds that were out on Saturday, taking pictures turned into a true struggle.
“Our original plan was the memorial,” senior Ethan Dufresne said, “but due to the construction we had to go in front of the reflection pool which was super windy.”
