Since the performances at pep rallies were taking up too much time, SCA decided to go to a new model where performances that would otherwise be intervally at pep rally, are now showcased for the school in the auditorium for $2. During 4th block on March 22nd, students are encouraged to support the arts here at Champe by watching their classmates in various clubs act, sing, dance, and participate in contests in front of a board of student and teacher judges. SCA has been hastily preparing for their first of what will hopefully become an annual tradition, the Spring Showcase, for weeks, as this is one of the last events for the 2023-2024 school year.
“Student Council has been preparing for the spring showcase for a long time! After the fall showcase, we spent a few classes discussing the good and the bad and made sure we improved what went wrong for the spring showcase,” said SCA member Ada Pannell. “We currently have four performances lined up by a few of our champe clubs. As well as a new Jeopardy! style game show with the class councils, but this time staff is included!”
