Course Registration meetings with counselors end on March 15th. Between February 15th to March 15th, counselors have been meeting with students to help them decide their courses for the 2024-2025 school year. Currently enrolled 9th and 10th graders will attend these meetings during their World History Classes, and the US/VA History classes for 11th graders. Counselors were focused on choosing the best courses for students by referencing teacher recommendations and the career pathway that the students want to go into. Counselors also informed students about scholarships and provided resources for students to use. Other information provided by counselors included job opportunities, insight into DE courses, and information about college applications.
“We do these meetings to make sure students are satisfied with the courses they will take next year,” counselor Dan Choi said. “It also helps us put a name to the faces of our students.”
