DECA held their annual State Leadership Conference (SLC) at Virginia Beach. The competition took place from Friday, March 1st to Sunday March 3rd. During this weekend, the DECA state officer elections took place. Nripesh Dahal was a candidate from Champe who ran for the Vice President of Career Development. He won the election which makes him the first person from Champe to hold a state officer position within Virginia DECA.
“It’s amazing becoming a state officer, and really being able to represent John Champe High School and its DECA chapter throughout the state,” junior and DECA state officer Nripesh Dahal said. “I am ready to elevate John Champe and Virginia DECA.”
Dahal hopes to continue to make a difference within John Champe and it’s DECA chapter.
