The John Champe Winter track season has recently come to an end. Many of our student athletes did well, including nine students who went to States. The events were held at Liberty University. Sophomore Anna Hardiman went to States for four different events and came home with a win in the 1000 meter race. Senior Michael Clark is another student who went to states and competed in 55 meter hurdles, as well as placing 5th in the 4×4 relay.
“It was so fun meeting new athletes from different teams and making new friends,” Hardiman said. “The best part was cheering on my teammates when it was their turn to run.”
Winning a State Championship in any sport is very impressive. The John Champe Track team looks forward to bringing home even more trophies this Spring.
