The John Champe Library officially closed down on Monday, February 26th. This is due to the library being under construction, as there are plans to switch the locations of the main office and the library for safety and security purposes. Some students aren’t happy with the changes, as they use the library and its services every day. The Library was frequently used by students in study hall and lunch and was a meeting place for students before school.
“I used to meet up with my friends every day during recharge there,” sophomore Tanvi Puthumbhaku said. “It was just a warm environment which was pretty welcoming. I hope it’ll be like that next year too.”
Tech support, a major service located in the library, has been relocated to room 1315, with full tech support being available for anyone who needs it. Printing will be unavailable for the next two weeks, and no passes can be made to the library for the foreseeable future.
