A new artificial intelligence has emerged and it’s not just any ordinary one. OpenAI, also the founder organization for ChatGPT, has launched a new artificial intelligence: Sora. It has only been teased for a week yet it has gained mass attention across the internet, including social media platforms like TikTok. The exception with Sora’s is its advanced ability to create hyper-realistic and imaginative human-like videos based on prompts and text instructions. Its program utilizes learning algorithms to analyze and synthesize facial expressions, gestures, and voices. The potential behind Sora is limitless, depending on its usage, and can be used for various industries including entertainment, gaming, and even virtual reality.
“The advancement of A.I., specifically the new video model ‘Sora,’ is extremely fascinating,” said sophomore Humza Burney. “We went from A.I. videos being easily identifiable to almost on par with real videos in less than a year and the rate of A.I. advancement will continue to grow in coming months.”
A.I.’s progress has grown rapidly since the past year and has had the sole purpose of assisting humans for its existence. With the future circumstances of A.I. evolution, it’s clear that many will take advantage of it for various desires.
