The House of Representatives is made up of no more than 435 representatives. They represent the 50 states as equally and as fairly as possible. However, there are some balances that need to occur to keep it even. The amount of Republican representatives are slim, and the results from a special Congressional election in New York will further narrow the Republicans’ majority. Junior Joshua Wallace gives his thoughts on the matter.
“As a student from a Republican household, it is worrying that we are getting less and less representation in America,” Wallace says. “I hope they try to resolve this as soon as possible.”
Representation for all groups in America will never be perfect, but many hope it improves.
