On February 11th, 2024 the Kansas City Chiefs played the San Francisco 49ers emerging victorious at the 58th annual Super Bowl. This year’s half time show, sponsored by Apple Music, was headlined by Usher. His show featured many parallels to his show in Vegas, and overall moments in his career, and he was even joined by many guests who have been previously featured in his music. Some of those guests included Alicia Keys, H.E.R, will.i.am, Lil Jon, and Ludacris. The show also highlighted Atlanta culture, bringing in 5% more viewers than last year’s half time show, but there were mixed opinions on his performance.
“I thought the half time show was good but I was expecting it to be a little different,” junior Ally Schwarz said. “It was a bit disappointing that usher didn’t play some of his most iconic songs, and I was also hoping that Justin Bieber would show up too.”
“In the coming years it would be cool to see Pitbull perform,” Schwarz said. “His songs are really catchy and I think he would do an amazing show.”
