The John Champe hockey team has officially secured their spot in this year’s state game. The team is currently tied for most wins with a record of five wins, three losses, and one tie, qualifying them to be in this game for the second year in a row. The state game will take place on March 1st at Ashburn Ice House and will be played against Chantilly/McLean. The reigning state champions hope to be able to take home yet another championship title.
“It’s super exciting to have the chance to bring home a second state championship for Champe” goalie, Zak Ismail said. “The game is gonna be challenging but I believe in us.”
