Social Media companies have been questioned for their harm to teenagers and young children. Apps like Facebook, TikTok, Instagram, X, and more visited congress on trial. They’re in danger of being restricted from certain groups. Teenagers are concerned about losing access to these apps. Sophomore Cien Garcia shares his thoughts on the trials.
“If they’re taking safety precautions, I guess it’s okay,” Garcia said. “I don’t really care about social media that much because I can always just text my friends.”
It’s a small chance that these apps get banned from the App Store, but it still raises concern for many users across the country.
