The winter spirit week, full of bright colors and creative costumes, ended with a final flourish with the winter pep rally on Friday. There were many exciting games like the ornament bash, table surf, and snowball fight. The winter pep rally was held in honor of the winter sports season and to encourage student spirit and support for the winter sports teams. Students are incentivized to show more spirit than other grades by the spirit shield. At the end of the week, the class with the most spirit points is awarded the spirit shield. This time, the juniors won the spirit shield by getting the most amount of points. Seniors won the second most amount of spirit points, freshmen were third, and sophomores were last. Overall, excitement and cheer were abundant in the air.
“I had a lot of fun,” sophomore Sahana Senthilkumar said, “I really appreciate the class council for encouraging our spirit.”
