Heavy rain and snow are forecasted to hit the east coast before bringing the year’s first snowstorm to the East Coast by the weekend. The snowstorm is expected to hit from Saturday January 6, 2024 to Monday, January 8, 2024. 3 to 6 inches of snow are expected in Northern Virginia reigon. There is also a possibility that there will be heavy rains throughout the weekend. If there is snow, there will be a likely chance of a school closure on Monday, January 8, 2024.
“I’m pretty confident that it will snow this weekend because of the predictions,” junior Rithvik Amargani said. “It would be nice to have an extra day off from school.”
If there’s only rain throughout the weekend, then school will continue normally throughout the week.
