The Champe girls lacrosse team has been getting on the field before and after school for the past few months in preparation for the 2024 season. Coming off a spectacular run last year, coach Mullins and captains Abby Hardiman and Kathryn Hutton are looking to finish what they started. The team will be participating in a new type of pre-season to ensure they are as prepared as possible. This program is called the winter knights league, created by Coach Mullins meant to give teams real game practice during the pre-season. Schools such as freedom and broad run will be competing against Champe on Saturdays. The league was originally set to start on January 6th but has been postponed to January 13th due to rainy weather.
“Pre-season is a great way to get the team ready for our games” captain Kathryn Hutton said. “We plan to build on what we did last year.”
Anyone interested in being a part of the girls lacrosse team should talk to coach Mullins for pre-season updates.
