The winter concerts at John Champe High School have become a cultural cornerstone, intertwining with the fabric of the academic year. Taking place during the last two weeks before winter break, these concerts are a chance for students in the band, orchestra, choir, and guitar groups to show off their skills and bring some joy to their friends and the community. It’s not easy – it takes a lot of practice and dedication to make it all come together.
“These winter concerts are more than just performances,” senior Raihana Mohammed, a choir student, said, “they are the culmination of hard work, creativity, and a shared passion for the art of sound”

Holiday traditions in music not only evoke the spirit of the season but also serve as timeless threads weaving together cultural heritage, community bonds, and the universal language of harmony.
