Starting the new year celebrating this year’s graduating class, Champe’s outdoor track team held their Senior (K)night on January 3rd, 2024. The seven seniors were celebrated with a night of events, including but not limited to: shot put, high jump, relay races and a 55 meter dash. Speeches made by Coach Emily Brandon embellished the night, making the seniors feel extra special after giving it their all, all season long.
“The coaches and the team definitely took time to mark out the seniors and make sure our last season was meaningful. Especially with senior night, they made sure everything went smoothly, and that it is special for us,” said senior Alyssa Gam. “I think this team has done so much in terms of community, as such a large and easily separated team, I truly feel connected to everyone, and I am going to be super sad to leave them.”
