Thursday, December 7, some students at Champe took the S.A.T for testers with accommodations. As time progresses, it is increasingly becoming an effort amongst most institutions to provide equal opportunities and experiences for all. Being a standardized test, the S.A.T., provided by the College Board, can exclude some students wanting to take the test in its original form.
Sometimes it can take a while to find an accommodation, and other times it can take a while for them to get approved. According to junior Ally Schwarz, who took the accommodation S.A.T at Champe, “getting the accommodations approved was a long process,” said Schwarz, “but registering was very accessible.”
Overall, the test was as the College Board had claimed it would be, and gave the opportunity to those who needed it.
