Champe Theater’s Friday Night Live auditions are being held this Tuesday the 28th and Wednesday the 29th. Friday Night Live is where the seniors put together scripted shows with different themes and plots. One of this year’s shows is a comedy written and directed by senior Sydney Cruz. In order to become one of the actors a part of these shows, the directors look for certain talents within the students auditioning. In general, the seniors are looking for students who can demonstrate good acting skills and have the ability to pick up a scene or character quickly. However, some shows require more from their actors. For example, senior Sydney Cruz’s show requires the actor to have good comedic timing and presence as well. If a student demonstrates great acting ability in the initial audition, then the seniors pull them out for callbacks where they read some of the scenes with others to see how they do.
