Champe’s guitar class is doing their annual sock exchange in light of the holidays being right around the corner. The guitar class is taught by Ms. Seo, and she has been doing this tradition with her students since 2021. The students get to draw names of their classmates in a hat, that they then buy socks for. Students can buy Christmas themed socks or fuzzy socks to give to their classmates. This is an activity that students have a lot of fun doing because it encourages the class to get to know each other better, even though guitar has a small enrollment.
“I love shopping for my classmates,” Forozan Sadeghi, guitar student, says. “It gives us a chance to have fun and get know each other better.”
Sadeghi loves doing this tradition because it helps her know her classmates better and she enjoys shopping for her friends. Some students fill the socks with candy or other small gifts to make their present extra special. The students have fun playing around with what they put in the socks.
All the students really appreciate Ms. Seo for giving them the opportunity to enjoy a holiday activity in school because it makes them look forward to going to class.
