DECA had its Friendsgiving event where its club members connected by sharing their gratitude over provided pizzas and drinks before next week’s Thanksgiving break. Aside from giving thanks, DECA Vice President Jay Sangroula and President Maddie Wilson conducted presentations to remind and update its members to continue attending workshop practice after school to prepare for this year’s DLC competition on December 2nd and their SLC draft due on November 28th. After the meeting, Advisor Ms. Brown hosted a wholesome activity that included everyone writing and mailing cards with positive messages for hospitalized children.
“I enjoyed getting to spend time with my friends, especially with the involvement of writing cards,” said senior Trey Davis. “I hope I can continue to help others and get enough practice before our competition.”
