The first batch of PSAT scores were released by the CollegeBoard on Monday with most students receiving their score reports. The PSAT exams were taken by grades 9-11 at Champe on October 11th, about a month ago. The Preliminary SAT/National Merit Society Qualifying Test, or PSAT/NMSQT, is taken by Sophomores and Juniors. Juniors can receive a merit scholarship depending on their NMSC selection index score, which is included in the score report students receive.
“As I opened the BigFuture app I was nervous to see my score,” junior Rithvika Yenugula said. “I ended up doing okay, and since it was just the PSAT I didn’t have anything to worry about in the first place.”
The BigFuture app gives students a simplified overview of their performance on CollegeBoard exams. The PSAT is scored from 320 to 1520 points, testing both math and reading on a scale up to 760 for each section. This is the first year where all students nationwide took the test digitally, which many here at Champe liked due to the overall test time being reduced significantly.
