Snow days are some of the best days for students, however in recent years there have been less and less snowy days in Loudoun County. This could all change this year with the arrival of El Nino to the United States and specifically Virginia. El Nino is a phenomenon that occurs when temperatures rise over the pacific ocean and blow towards the Americas changing the weather. This year, it looks like the El Nino will cause Virginia to be colder and add an additional 8 inches of snow to the forecast.
Sophomore Zachariah Williams could hold in his happiness when hearing about the possible snowy weather.”It’s so great because we can get an extra day of rest,” Williams said, “Especially since there’s gonna be a lot of work around that time of the year”.
It seems that this year will be unusually snowy compared to years prior much to the delight of the students of John Champe.
