This Thursday, October 25th, Care for Kiddos will host a purple out at John Champe High School. Care for Kiddos is a club made to raise awareness for families or children who face domestic abuse. They also help spread information on what we can do to help these families and children through events and fundraising. One of these events includes the Purple Out, held this week. The color purple represents October as Domestic Violence Awareness Month, and the event is trying to get students to wear the color purple in support. The club hopes to help use the Purple Out event to teach students more about domestic violence, and why it matters to take a stand and help those families.
“It matters to care about the children and families who are suffering through domestic violence abuse,” Vice President Anica Koul said. “Help spread awareness by wearing purple to represent domestic violence month!”
