Each student enrolled in the Intro to Business and Marketing courses, had the opportunity this week, to experience an in-person mock interview to prepare themselves for their future careers. The interviews are part of an original assignment in the course to simulate the real experience of a professional interview where teachers act as the interviewees. Weeks before interview day, teachers like Ms. Brown and Mr. Stark went through lessons educating the students on creating their resumés, cover letters, body language, and other features to fully prepare and have confidence. As these students take their path and continue to learn the importance of constructing their career profiles, they are more likely to be at a rate of success when applying for their desired occupations.
“I was a little stressed during the interview, but after, I realized it was not bad at all,” sophomore Jacob Dawson said. “It helped us experience the full process and take the needed preparations to train before entering the workforce.”
