On October 24th, the Varsity Field Hockey team was playing in the district semi-finals against Woodgrove High School. The Varsity Knights traveled to Woodgrove High School to compete against the Woodgrove Wolverines to compete in the district semi-finals and see who will go to the district’s championship game and regionals.
“I didn’t think we would make it this far into the season,” Varsity Field Hockey player Lauren Boteler said. “We lost most of our starting lineup from last year and we had a bunch of freshman tryouts this year so I didn’t think we would make it.” Having most of your starting lineup graduate can be tough because there are so many holes needed to be filled and you want someone who can produce and help the team on the field.
“I think we can be a little bit better next year,” Boteler said. “We had a lot of freshmen so if they stick with it and keep practicing they will improve and as a team, we can improve.”
