October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month which means communities come together to support people who have been impacted by breast cancer. At Champe, we celebrate October by selling pink t-shirts to donate to charity, wearing pink for spirit days, having in season sports wear pink jerseys to support, and hosting other events such as Walk for a Cure.
“As someone who has known people with breast cancer, I take the month to celebrate victims,” sophomore Anna Workman said, “the month isn’t just about wearing pink, it is also about making time in your day to mourn and pray for people with breast cancer and I’m glad we celebrate at Champe.”
With our help at Champe, we can help someone suffering from breast cancer feel seen and appreciated. Continue to celebrate this month by doing something to support the cause!
