The Powderpuff game is happening this Sunday at the John Champe stadium. The game will be between juniors and seniors, and they will be playing football. This game is especially important because all of the proceeds go to the Loudoun Breast Health Network. The Loudoun Breast Health Network is an organization that specifically deals with helping patients of breast cancer within Loudoun County. This organization works to provide breast cancer patients with financial aid for those who cannot afford it, and has a program that is specifically made to help these patients recover. This is not the first event Champe has done for raising breast cancer awareness. This is part of a bigger collective event at John Champe called Pink Week, in order to raise funds for patients of breast cancer who are in need.
“I think it’s a very good thing Champe is doing,“ Shakeel Abdulkareem, a sophomore at John Champe said, “Pink Week has had a great impact on the Loudoun Breast Health Network. I personally have went to all the events, and I will be attending this game as well”
