On October 4th, Walk & Roll to School Day is being celebrated all across the country. Walk & Roll to School Day is a celebration that encourages the practice to walk or bike to school. This day highlights the importance of safe transportation routes for students, and helps the environment by decreasing carbon emissions from vehicles. Walk & Roll events are organized all over the country, where students all come together to walk and bike to school. While John Champe High School has not organized an event for this day, the students of Champe still recognize how impactful Walk & Roll to School Day is.
“I think it’s important to walk to school,” freshman Sayuri Kodam said. “I love walking to school and participated in this event by walking to school today with my friends.
