The holiday Yom Kippur started after sunset on September 24th to nightfall on September 25th. Judaists and Samaritanists celebrate Yom Kippur. It is one of the year’s holiest days for these religions as it’s meant for believers to atone for their sins and restore their relationship with God.
“At Champe, I usually celebrate Yom Kippur with some friends who participate in Yom Kippur as well,” junior Mia Montemoino said. “ We take our lunch block to spend time in the library and talk about how our families celebrate, as not every Judaist celebrates the same way.”
