In the already academically competitive nature of Loudoun County Public Schools, seniors are feeling extremely pressured as early-decision college application deadlines creep closer. Champe counselors, among other staff, are working around the clock to ensure their college-bound 12th graders have the best chance possible to get into colleges, as they seem harder to gain entrance to.
“Majority of the seniors have early action applications due on November 3rd. A few weeks ago we went into senior English classrooms, and then we met with senior individuals to answer any specific Questions,” Auja Jones, School Counselor said. “When Covid happened it was a lot easier to get into colleges, and now I think we are rebounding.”
