Champe Decisions Instagram Page

Since it’s college decision season, students are wondering where all their classmates are going. This leads to the 4-year-old tradition of posting students’ decisions continuing. The Champe decisions page was created in November and features students’ college decisions publicly so all their classmates can congratulate them on their accomplishments. This is a great page where classmates can post, share, and comment on their post-grad plans.

“I love getting to see where my classmates who I grew up going to school with are attending,” senior Ellie Spengler said. “It’s almost sentimental in a way.”

The page shows students going to Virginia Tech, Mary Washington, the University of Virginia, and more. Students are attending schools anywhere from Virginia to California which shows how students are broadening their lives beyond Champe. Overall the Champe Decisions page is a page that is a lot of fun for students to look at and participate in. It adds fun-spirited closure to the senior class’s graduation.

Unlike years before, the school is actually promoting this page. The page is created by an anonymous student who wants to carry on the tradition. Therefore, students play a fun guessing game of trying to find out who runs the page until the creator posts him/herself on the day of graduation as a conclusion to the page. Furthermore, there are posters hung up around the school asking students to submit their college decisions which is an even better way to carry on this tradition, since the word is spreading to all staff and students.
