Harmful Blizzards in the West

Harmful blizzards in the west push the California snowpack to nearly twice the normal levels. While it might be nice to see snow in the region as it was in a heavy doughy, these storms have caused dangerous environments. The storm delivered seven feet of fresh powder to many locations, making it difficult to travel on the roads.
“I am surprised that there is snow in California of all places, “ junior Adithi Thumuluru said. “However, I do hope everyone there is staying safe.”
The National Weather Service in Sacramento warns people of dangerous travel conditions as trees and power lines are down. Other centers, like the Sierra Avalanche Center, issued an avalanche warning. They advise everyone to avoid travel and stay warm as the storm occurs.
