New Teacher Highlight – Shannon Brown

New week, new teacher highlight! Our teacher this week is Shannon Brown, and she teaches CTE Business & Marketing. Brown is also a co-advisor for DECA and Mock Trial, and a sponsor for the Anime and Manga Club. Before arriving at Champe, Brown was a sales director for multiple sales and marketing teams for over 20 years. She worked for companies that specialized in financial software, cyber security, data management, and insurance.

“The pandemic offered me an opportunity to substitute here at Champe, and honestly, I loved it,” Brown said. “I find it even more rewarding to guide young people on their academic path, and spark interest in future endeavors.”

“[If I could change something about Champe] I would say finding the magic to spark some genuine school spirit into our student body,” Brown said. “Helping students be excited about being a John Champe Knight.”
