Lead singer from the band Cage the Elephant has been arrested

Lead singer of the band Cage the Elephant, Matt Shultz was arrested on January 5, 2023. Shultz was arrested for criminal weapons possession, after police found two loaded guns at the hotel he was staying at in New York. He is currently being held with a bail set at $10,000 cash or a $30,000 bond. Many fans were shocked to hear the news, and left wondering what the band’s next step would be.
“I was very surprised when I first heard the news,” sophomore Ella Vandergrift said. “It seemed somewhat unlike him to be in possession of two whole loaded firearms.”
“I’m not sure how the rest of the band members stand on this,” Vandergrift said. “I think that they’ll take a break from recording/releasing music until everything is cleared up.”
