Knights in Esports

Esports’ Splatoon team won in a best out of 5 tournament against St. John’s College High School. Esports, a form of competition using mostly multiplayer video games either individually or as a group, is going for the gold as they attempt to qualify for playoffs. In order to get there, they must have a decent win streak, winning more games than they lose, to increase their rank. Though not the traditional football or soccer sports on the field, esports is just as taxing and just as rewarding.

“It’s pretty fun,” freshman Will Contostavlos said. “No matter who you are or what you do, you should always give things a try.”

With the work of friendship, teamwork, and determination, this will not be the last time Champe will see esports victorious.
