Netflix’s New Documentary Series on Jeffrey Dahmer

A little over a week ago, on September 21, 2022 Netflix released their new documentary series “Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story” to the public. The series goes into depth telling the story of one of the world’s most gruesome serial killers, Jeffrey Dahmer. The story is told from the perspective of his victims and police, and while many people claim that the series is not overly gory, there are still many hideous aspects tied into the film. The frightening series sits at the #1 on Netflix’s charts, and Netflix has already planned to release another documentary about Dahmer on October 7th.

“I thought the documentary was really interesting,” sophomore Abby Taliaferro said. “Although, when they got into his childhood I was kind of uncomfortable, it was almost  as if they were trying to make viewers feel bad for him.”

“I’m excited to see how the next documentary plays out in comparison to this one,” Taliaferro said. “They went a more non-traditional way when making the recent series, it was eerie and kept me hooked, hopefully the next one will be just as interesting.”
