Pirates Win With No Hits
On Sunday, the Pittsburgh Pirates and the Cincinnati Reds played their final game of their four game series. The Reds had their young pitcher Hunter Greene on the mound. Greene was dominant. He threw 7.1 dominant innings, allowing no hits and striking out nine. Greene left the game in the eighth inning with runners on first and second with one out. Reds relief pitcher Art Warren came in, walked a batter to load the bases, then allowed a weak dribbler to Pirates third baseman Ke’Bryan Hayes. The dribbler turned into a fielder’s choice that would score the only run of the game. The Pirates never got a hit and still beat the Reds by the score of 1-0.
