Nathan Chen Received a Gold Medal

After four years, Nathan Chen received his first gold medal on Thursday in Beijing.

According to NBC, Chen stated that he felt confident because he had been practicing for four years. During the team event, he scored the highest with a 113-97 in the short program on Tuesday. He became the first Asian-American to win the gold medal in the men’s figure skating. After his win, he earned the nickname called “quad king.” The judges complimented Chen on his elegant yet energetic energy he has on the ice rink.
