MSU Football Sends Tribute To Tate Myre

MSU Football Sends Tribute To Tate Myre

On Thursday Morning, the Michigan State Football Coach paid a tribute to Tate Myre, who lost his life in the Oxford High School Shooting on November 30.

Mel Tucker, the head coach of Michigan State Football, shared that Myre had received an honorary Spartan Dawg. Prior to the incident at Oxford, Myre was a junior who had the drive and passion to play football for Michigan State. Tucker best describes Myre as an hardworking and athletic student.

According to petition posted to change.org, Myre died a hero as he attempted to disarm the young shooter. His act of bravery has inspired several individuals across the nation to name the Oxford High School stadium after Myre for his act of heroism. The petition is still ongoing and can be found on the link below. It currently has 273,421 signings as of December 16, 2021.
