Baldwin Opens Up About “Rust” Shooting

In an interview with ABC News correspondent George Stephanopolous on Thursday night, American actor Alec Baldwin opens up about the “Rust” Shooting.

On October 21, 2021, Balwin fatally shot cinematographer Halyna Hutchens while rehearsing for a scene where Baldwin’s character would have pointed the supposed “antique” gun at the camera. Hutchens later passed and Baldwin additionally injured director Joel Souza. Balwin claims that he had no idea how a live bullet got onto the set.

“I would never point a gun at anyone and pulled the trigger at them,” Baldwin said in the interview.

In fact, Baldwin admitted that he had no clue what had happened until he arrived at the police station hours later on the evening of the 21st. His last recall was believing that Hutchens fainted, and the last time he saw her was with Souza as he was screaming.

As a result of this incident, Baldwin has announced that he will possibly never do another movie that requires a gun.
